While Latin sensation Juanes attended his first Bruce Springsteen concert at the Apollo Theater, he says he has always felt connected to Springsteen's music.

The Grammy-winning artist said he admires how Springsteen combines "his energy on stage with the political nature of his music." He said much of South America appreciates Springsteen's working-class anthems and feels a connection to them.

The Colombian-born artist will open for "The Boss" next week in Austin, Texas, at the SXSW Festival. He said it will be a great moment for him and he is "very excited" to have the opportunity.

Friday's concert in Harlem celebrated the 10th anniversary of Sirius XM Radio. Springsteen kicks off his "Wrecking Ball" World Tour on March 18 in Atlanta.
