Samsung Galaxy Note Jelly Bean Update Coming Soon

Yesterday, Samsung seemed to confirm the Samsung Galaxy Note Jelly Bean update at IFA 2012 and fortunately, Samsung took to the internet to confirm the Galaxy Note Android 4.1 update as coming soon.

While on stage at IFA 2012, Samsung seemed to confirm the original Galaxy Note?s Jelly Bean update. The device was in a Jelly Bean slide on stage and I believed that I heard the Samsung executive say that it would be coming to the original ?very soon.?

Turns out, I may have been right as Samsung confirmed the Jelly Bean updates for the Galaxy Note 10.1, Galaxy S III and Galaxy Note saying that they would be coming out soon.

The Galaxy Note Jelly Bean update has been confirmed.

Samsung did not say when Galaxy Note owners should expect the update to arrive but rumors place the release date as taking place sometime in the fourth quarter of this year.

Q4 of 2012 spans across October, November and December and as of right now, that?s the window owners should be looking at.

We fully expect the Jelly Bean updates for the Galaxy S III and Galaxy Note 10.1 to come before the Galaxy Note gets its Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update and we fully expect Samsung to release the Galaxy Note 2 before it graces the original with Jelly Bean. Otherwise, it would take away one of its main selling points.

Of course, Samsung is likely referring to the international version of the Galaxy Note. The U.S. models, on AT&T and T-Mobile, will likely get their upgrades much later than those abroad.

American carriers are notoriously slow at updating their handsets with major Android updates and the Galaxy Note should be no different.

In any event, this should be welcomed news for Galaxy Note owners. The update is coming, even after Samsung decided to announce a new Galaxy Note, the Samsung Galaxy Note 2, which will be replacing the original Galaxy Note in October.
