TV Ratings: 'Dancing With the Stars' Tops Monday, 'Chicago Code' Finale Improves

ABC's Dancing With the Stars finished its latest season atop the ratings again.

The one-hour performance finale of DWTS (22.2 million total viewers, 4.6 rating in adults 18-49 demographic)?featured finalists?Chelsea Kane,?professional football player Hines Ward and actress Kirstie Alley. Though the episode was down 6 percent from its last fall performance finale, according to preliminary numbers, DWTS grew double digits in total viewers from its year-ago Monday finale.

DWTS helped ABC top the night, with the two-hour season launch of The Bachelorette (9.3 million, 2.8) steady with last season's premiere -- its lowest-rated premiere to date.

It was a relatively quiet day, with the CW and CBS airing mostly repeats. (The latter aired a Clash of the Commercials special at 10 p.m., which drew 7 million and a 2.0.)

Over on Fox, the Season 7 finale of House (8.9 million, 3.3) sank 23 percent from last season's closer in mid-May. The episode also marks a change in the tide, with series regular Lisa Edelstein opting not to return. The final episode of The Chicago Code (7 million, 2.0), on the other hand, improved 11 percent. Fox placed second on the night, averaging a 2.6.

NBC's Minute to Win It (4.3 million, 1.5) matched the network's highest key demo rating in the time period since mid-March. At 9 p.m., the series finale of The Event?(4.6 million, 1.5) saw a double-digit increase from the previous week and as?Law & Order: LA?(6 million, 1.4) winds down, the spinoff improved 27 percent. NBC placed fourth, averaging a 1.4.

Spanish-language channel Univision actually topped NBC in the demo, averaging a 1.6 and 4 million viewers for telenovelas?Teresa and Triunfo Del Amor.
