Actress Jane Lynch and her wife Lara Embry are splitting after three years of marriage, People magazine reported Monday.
"Lara and I have decided to end our marriage," Lynch said in a statement to People. "This has been a difficult decision for us as we care very deeply about one another. We ask for privacy as we deal with this family matter."
Lynch, 52, and Embry, 44, met in 2009 and married on Memorial Day in 2010 in Sunderland, Mass.
Lynch stars as Sue Sylvester on the Fox series "Glee" and is currently performing on Broadway in "Annie: The Musical" as Miss Hannigan.
Embry is a clinical psychologist.
